Today’s announcement is special: the Droidcon India team is pleased as punch to welcome GitHub as the party sponsor for 2011.
What party? The Friday evening party, of course. Droidcon is a two day event and the venue is not exactly in the middle of town. There’s no point to spending two hours in crawling traffic when you could be partying! Go home when the traffic eases up. The Droidcon party will be at Counter Culture across the road from MLR Convention Centre.
We are particularly pleased about this because we use and love GitHub so much. All our work including this website’s source is hosted at GitHub. If you’ve never heard of GitHub before, here’s a quick summary:
GitHub is version control for software development and so much more. Whether it’s a weekend side project, your favorite open source library, a startup destined for glory, or your company’s app, GitHub helps everyone work together with tools for easier collaboration and more visibility. Check it out — open source is free!
Having GitHub at Droidcon is an honour. We welcome the Octocat to India:
